Addons
First things first, you’ll want to start by getting Minion for the easiest Addon management.
An alternative to Minion is downloading & installing the Addons from the ESO UI website manually.
Champion Points
Bandit’s User Interace
This is my preferred choice for UI for the health bars as well as the custom reticle feature that colours your reticle based on the state of combat.
I am also using the widget feature to separately track many buffs and debuffs in the game. The addon also features a myriad of other cool features that can be handy!
Note: if you are going to fully follow the addon guide, please turn off Buffs/Debuffs (apart from Widgets) as we’ll be using another addon for those.
S’rendarr – Aura, Buff & Debuff Tracker
This is my preferred way of tracking most buffs and debuffs as it allows a lot of customization on where these are shown, which ones are shown and at which size and so on.
I would highly recommend blacklisting all redundant passive buffs and things that don’t offer any information but just clutter the screen (duplicate Major buffs that are triggered by the same source etc).
Cooldowns
IMPORTANT: Cooldowns addon has not been updated in a long time.
I’ve manually kept it up to date by adding latest sets to it and changing values according to patch changes. In order to get accurate values, after downloading the addon you’ll have to grab the data.lua file from my Discord (pinned message in #eso channel) and copy/paste it to your Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\Cooldowns folder!
Cooldowns addon lets you keep track of your set cooldowns. Given the amount of item sets in the game and how much timing some of them require I find this addon to be a must have in order to play many builds.
Miat’s CastIcon
Miat’s CastIcon displays an icon that shows the state of your heavy attack or cast/channeled ability. This can be extremely valuable, as the animations for your heavy attacks and cast abilities can easily bug out or become hard to notice.
Miat’s Tick Tracker
In ESO recovery ticks happen every two seconds, regardless of if you’re holding block, sprinting or otherwise blocking your stamina or magicka recovery. Miat’s Tick Tracker can help you time blocking or sprinting so that you still gain each tick by releasing sprint or block at the right time.
Miat’s CC Tracker
Displays an icon on your screen when you get CC’d. This can be helpful in situations where you have a lot of visual effects going off obstructing the view of your character.
AlphaGear 2
Helps you change between different builds on the fly – can be very useful.
OdySupportIcons
Displays an icon for each group member, making them easier to follow and notice in PvP! The addon also allows you to give people custom icons, which can help a lot with coordination (and is just a fun feature).
Better Scoreboard
Displays more detailed information in Battleground scoreboards. The addon also has a feature that lets you (solo) queue into both solo and group queue at the same time, reducing queue times.
PvpMeter
Keeps track of your Battleground performance, wins, losses, kills, deaths and so on. Also lets you see how much damage you tanked in each battleground and displays an on-screen tracker of kills, deaths and assists.
Auto Category
Lets you sort your inventory into different categories, making it a lot easier to find things. An absolute must have.
Inventory Insight
Lets you search the gear you have on other characters, as well as bank and storages. Another absolute must have, if you happen to have a lot of characters (and gear).
Item Set Browser
Lets you browse through all the item sets in the game.
PerfectPixel
Perfect Pixel makes all UI elements a lot more compact, allowing you to see more information on your screen. Highly recommended!
Bound Armaments Counter
Lets you keep track of your Bound Armament stacks on Sorcerer!
Shadow Image Range
Helps you keep track of your Shadow Image.
Shalk Tracker
IMPORTANT: the addon hasn’t been updated in a while. You’ll need to go to the addon folder (Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\ShalkTracker) and open the ShalkTracker.lua file. You’ll see three lines saying [“Cooldown”] = 6, – change the first two to 9 in order to get an accurate timer.
Very useful for keeping track of Shalks on warden.
